All are welcome to join other families at Twinkle Twinkle Little Store for this annual breastfeeding awareness event. A large 4 level playground is available and free for older children to enjoy while you are in our nursing friendly environment. Goodie bags are provided to all participants. Twinkle Twinkle Little Store is a baby and children’s boutique and resale store. Pre-registration is not required, just show up!

About the Global Big Latch On

The Global Big Latch On takes place at a registered locations around the world, where women gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other. Their friends, family and community join this celebration to promote and support breastfeeding. Volunteers from within the community host each location, hosting a Global Big Latch On creates a lasting support network for the community.

The Global Big Latch On takes place annually over two days during World Breastfeeding Week (1st – 7th August). Our other World Breastfeeding Week Celebrations include Express Yourself and Selfies Sunday. As a worldwide peer support and community development event, it aims to strengthen national and global support for breastfeeding and to improve the health of children and women around the world.

The Big Latch On aims to protect, promote & support breastfeeding families by:

  • Provide support for communities to identify and grow opportunities to provide on-going breastfeeding support and promotion in local communities.
  • Raise awareness of breastfeeding support and knowledge available locally and globally.
  • Help communities positively support breastfeeding in public places.
  • Make breastfeeding as normal part of day-to-day life at a local community level.
  • Increase support for women who breastfeed – women are supported by their partners, family and their communities.
  • Ensure communities have the resources to advocate for coordinated appropriate and accessible breastfeeding support services.

The Global Big Latch On is a highly successful, targeted community development initiative that raises awareness of breastfeeding, encourages the formation of support networks between breastfeeding women, and aims to normalize breastfeeding as a part of daily life.

Free Cloth Diaper Q & A Session

Are you thinking about using cloth diapers? Are you confused and overwhelmed by all of the information and options?
Don’t be!
Join us Sunday, July 30th from 2pm to 3pm at Twinkle Twinkle Little Store for this free class as we explore the different brands, styles, laundering, and storage of dirty diapers. We will be happy to answer any questions and help you find the type that will work best for you and your baby.  Our resident Doula can help you navigate through the many options and show you all the features and how to use and care for them. We carry BumGenius, RumpARooz, Rockin Green, Nellies, and so many more cloth diapering products. Older siblings can enjoy the free playground while you learn more. All participants receive a discount card for a store purchase.

Free Baby Wearing Q & A Class

Are you interested in baby wearing, but don’t know where to start? Have you ever tried using a wrap and ended up with a tangled piece of fabric and a frustrated baby? Are you confused about all the options and wonder what will work best for your baby? Then, you are in the right place!

Join us July 16th or August 27th at 2:00 PM for a Baby Wearing Q&A session. Interested in Baby Wearing but not sure where to begin? Our resident Doula can help you navigate through the many options and show you all the features and how to wear them. We carry Tulas, Lillebabys, Mobys and many more types of carriers. Older siblings can enjoy the free playground while you learn more. All participants receive a discount card for a store purchase. In this totally free class we will go through different types, brands, benefits and drawbacks to each, and everything in between. You will even be able to try on the different kinds of carriers to get a feel for what you and your baby (or toddler!) will like best.

Already own a carrier but not sure how to use it? Bring it by! We can help you get adjusted and comfortable with your carrier.babywearing

Reading makes all things possible using your imagination. We love the ideas that stories that can provide you as you grow and develop your aspirations. This is one of the many reasons Twinkle Twinkle Little Store is supportive of your child’s reading development with our Twinkle Reading Program, compliments of Twinkle Outreach. The Twinkle Reading Program is a way for young readers to earn free books!

1) Read any 3 books and record them on the Twinkle Reading Program list.

2) Bring your completed list to Twinkle Twinkle Little Store anytime during the year.

3) Choose your FREE book from our designated bookshelf of complimentary books.

4) Repeat up to once per month!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Store sponsors and has many Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) available at the store to assist you with identifying the correct car seat for your family, as well as teaching you how to properly install a car seat and ensuring it is properly installed. We will assist regardless of where you got the car seat from. Appointments are recommended to ensure a CPST is available. Please call 239-262-5904 to make an appointment. All car seat safety installation checks are provided to families for free, compliments of Twinkle Twinkle Little Store.
